1.0 Privacy Policy for Plug
This Privacy Policy outlines how Descasio (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and discloses Users (“you”, “your”) data in connection with your access and use of Plug (the “Software”).
2.0 Consent
This Policy governs the use of the Software by both registered and unregistered Users. Your Consent to this Policy is required before you sign up for, use or access the Software. You may choose to give your consent or withdraw same at any time. Unless you withdraw your consent, your continued use of the Software will be governed by this Policy. We reserve the right to amend this Policy at any time without recourse to you. However, we may send you an email notification after updating the Policy. Your consent will be required for continued access to the Software after an update.
3.0 Types of Data We Collect
3.1 When you sign up to use the Software, during your account setup and login process, where you grant authorization, we collect data about you from Google, social media accounts, Apple iCloud, Google Suite, Microsoft Office 365, among others, to enable you to set up your account. The data we collect includes but is not limited to your name, email address, phone numbers, passwords and business information.
3.2 When you access or use the Software, either as a registered or unregistered user, we collect data about how you use the Software, your activities, the data you store, and the features you interact with, including your device’s Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type, access time, website URLs, geo-location data, device operating system, device type, ID or unique identifier, mobile network information and other standard web log data. This data is collected automatically and is for the purpose of refining the software, enhancing your experience, improving customer support, marketing efforts, and streamlining internal processes for greater efficiency.
3.3 Where you provide us with your account details for the purpose of payment, you may have the option to auto-renew your subscription by authorizing the Software to remember your account details. Where you authorize the software to remember your account details, we will collect and store your account details for the purpose of your payments. You can opt to delete your account details from the Software anytime.
3.4 For the purpose of quality assurance, we also collect data you directly provide to us, including but not limited to correspondence with our customer support agents, data obtained through survey responses, telephone conversations, emails, social media, user enquiries etc.
3.5 If you feel that your data is being processed in a way other than how you have consented to it being used or you are dissatisfied with how we handle your data, you can contact us with your request on the use of your data. We will take reasonable steps to ensure that your data is used or processed in the manner in which you have consented. You can also withdraw your consent to our use of your data and request us to delete your data from the Software. However, we may not accede to your request on the use of your data if it is unrealistic, impractical or we have a legal obligation or reason not to.
4.0 How We Use Data Collected
In addition to any other purpose stated in this Policy, we collect your data to ensure that your experience using the Software is optimized, pleasant, and secure. We may also use your data to enable us verify your identity; efficiently provide associated Software services to you, provide necessary customer support; resolve disputes; manage the information technology structure of the Software; evaluate and improve our service delivery; manage risk, or detect, prevent, and/or remedy fraud or other prohibited activities on the software; notify you of new or existing products and services; contact you for any reason through your contact details you provide; enforce this Policy and to comply with applicable laws or other legal requirements or reasons.
5.0 Third Parties’ Access to Your Data
We might grant access to or disclose your Data to specific third parties, including but not limited to service providers who conduct services on our behalf. These third-party entities offer various services to us, encompassing but not limited to billing, sales, marketing, content and feature provision, advertising, analytics, research, customer service, data storage, security, fraud detection and prevention, payment processing, and legal assistance.
6.0 Cookies
The Software uses cookies. These are small text files stored on your computer and mobile device by your browser. which enables our analysis of your usage patterns. Most cookies we utilize are session cookies, these cookies are automatically deleted by your browser once you leave our website. These session cookies furnish us with insights into visitor behaviour, which we analyze to enhance your experience, prioritize frequently visited features, and tailor our marketing strategies to suit your interests. Some cookies persist on your device for a longer duration, enabling us to recognize you as a unique User. Your Consent will be required to allow cookies when you use the Software. 7.0 Google User Data
Firstly we use Google OAuth APIs to perform Single Sign-on for users who wish to access Plug through their Google account authentication. Also, we use Google Drive APIs to securely allow users to upload files or retrieve files from their specified Google Drive folders. Lastly, we use Gmail APIs to allow users to send and retrieve emails from their Gmail account.

8.0. International Data Transfer
If you are located in a region with data privacy laws that differ from Nigeria (such as the European Union), be aware that your Data, including personal data, may be transferred to and processed in Nigeria. Nigerian data protection laws may differ from the data protection laws in your country or region. By using the Software, you consent to this transfer, processing, and use of your Data in Nigeria and in accordance with Nigeria’s data privacy laws.

We will collect and retain your Data for the duration necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this Policy, or as mandated by applicable laws and regulations.

12.0. Limitation of Liability
Subject to the provisions of the Nigeria Data Protection Act, or other applicable law,
12.1. We will not be liable for any loss of income, profits, business, opportunity, goodwill, contracts or any indirect, special, incidental or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the Software.
12.2. We will not be liable for any loss or damage arising as a result of unauthorized access to the Software if (a) you intentionally or negligently fail to take reasonable precautions to protect your security, access codes, login details or any device used to access the Software, (b) you failed to promptly notify us of any security breach after becoming aware of it.
12.3. Our liability to you or any third party in any circumstance of proven liability by us, shall not exceed the fees paid to us in respect of the specific transaction that gave rise to the claim or liability, unless otherwise specified by a court of competent jurisdiction.
